Global Television Appoints New CEO, Bolsters Board
Global Television today announced the appointment of Keith Andrews as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer. He joins Global Television from software provider Viewlocity Technologies, where he has been CEO. The company also announced that Tony Shepherd, Global Television’s General Manager – Victoria and a 30-year television industry veteran, would join Global’s board of directors.
Fall Out Boy Rocks Garden Island
Network Ten has been introduced to Global's HD1 in spectacular fashion shooting US rockers "Fall Out Boy" on Garden Island on Sydney Harbour. Parked in the shadows of HMAS Tobruk, Global's latest acquisition captured the Video Hits presentation for a network special. Capitalising on the unique location, the broadcast incorporated all the very best Global has to offer in music television production.
HD1 Joins the Ranks!
Global Television is proud to announce the arrival of HD1, a custom built high definition double expando Outside Broadcast unit to our fleet. Designed and constructed right here in Australia, HD1’s maiden voyage was the Twenty/20 match at the Gabba in November, followed closely by the 1st Test match of the 2008 Summer Cricket series. Its twin, HD2, is set to join our fleet in March 2009.
