Global Television expands tapeless workflow offer
16-Nov-2011With the recent acquisition of the Cutting Edge outside broadcast business, Global Television now offers an expanded range of tapeless workflow solutions to suit any production budget.
Tapeless workflows speed the path from footage capture to edit and the resulting efficiencies can mean significant savings for the client.
By capturing directly to hard disk, the post production team saves valuable time during media ingest. In most cases, editing can start immediately, greatly reducing the turn-around time for edited live and near-live broadcast material to go to air.
This can benefit a diverse range of programs, for example: action replays or re-caps within a live sports broadcast, or; recorded programs that require a quick turn-around to air, such as audition episodes of a reality TV series or programs that focus on topical and current affairs.
Global Television offers two main tapeless workflow technology solutions: EVS and Ingex. Both allow direct-to-disk capture of High Definition and Standard Definition video and audio with the options of proxy generation (low resolution browsing) and redundant capture configurations. Systems can scale from just one or two capture channels up to 12 and beyond.
Global Television understands the requirements of post production and can tailor a solution to suit any project, regardless of size or complexity.
